Inspired by a grotesque sculpture design found on 10th century church in Kilpeck, Herefordshire. A Pagan sculpture image associated with the circle of life… The Dragon eating its tail…!
This Gothic panel was similarly restored from a 19th century church wall panel from the pas de calais region of northern France. As with the tall gothic, the oak grain stands proud and one would easily be confused into thinking it was original oak… This piece is lighter than the Tall Gothic and uses a standard wire hook to wall mount it….
Reproduced from an original design of a celtic fertility symbol found throughout Western Britain and Ireland. This Sheila na gig is found on Kilpeck, a 10th century Herefordshire church, renowned for the pagan sculpture designs found on its exterior walls..
